It was thought that the opium was coming from Nagasaki, but it turns out that it was reaching Edo through smuggling purchased from foreign ships. However, Nagasaki magistrate Toyama Saemon-no-jo is powerless to do anything about it, and his only hope is his own son, Kinshiro... In order to eradicate the great conspiracy lurking in the inner palace of Edo and the drug scourge, Toyama Kin-san disguises himself as a pirate and boards a smuggling ship, sailing across the Kuroshio Current to the port of Nagasaki in this thrilling and dashing tale of a villain who slays evil.
