A young man, devoid of musical ability, is forced to participate in a music competition, with the prize being the hand of his beloved.

Master Gusla dreams his offspring to inherit his musical talent. Unfortunately, his only daughter Viola is devoid of musical talent. The master hopes that at least his grandchildren will become famous musicians.
